The Peace That Comes from God – John 14:27

John 14:27 – “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid

The peace that comes from God is different from the peace that the world offers. We often seek peace in external circumstances, in financial success, in relationships, or in moments of leisure. However, this peace is fleeting and can be shaken by any difficulty. Jesus, when speaking to His disciples, promised a peace that goes beyond circumstances, a peace that remains even in the midst of life’s storms.

The world tries to offer us peace through temporary solutions. A problem solved may bring momentary relief, but soon another concern arises. The peace of God, on the other hand, is based on trust in Him and the certainty that He is in control of all things. This peace does not mean the absence of problems, but the assurance that, no matter what happens, God takes care of us. Therefore, we can have the peace that comes from God.

Often, our hearts are troubled by situations beyond our control. We may feel insecure about the future, anxious about daily challenges, and fearful of the unknown. But Jesus invites us to rest in Him. He assures us that we do not need to live under the weight of worry, because His peace sustains us.

If you feel that your peace has been shaken today, turn to God. Seek Him in prayer, meditate on His Word, and remember His promises. He never abandons us and is always present to strengthen us. True peace does not come from the absence of problems but from the presence of God in our lives.

Prayer: The Peace that Comes from God

Lord, I want to experience the peace that comes from You. My heart often worries and is troubled, but today I give all my anxieties to You. Teach me to trust in Your care and to rest in Your presence. Amen.
